Veterinary position available

Latrobe Veterinary Group offers a unique opportunity for an experienced veterinarian with emergency, clinical and surgical experience for our small animal practice. Emergency/critical care and internal medicine are an increasingly important part of the practice – this is the ideal position for someone who wants to excel in these areas – but without overnight work.

Located in beautiful Gippsland, LVG consists of two modern clinics, one purpose-built, multiple vets ranging from an awesome new graduate to veterans and a skilled and energetic support staff. Special interests and extensive experience within our team include Surgery, Emergency/Critical Care, Pocket Pets, Avian Medicine, Dentistry and Animal Biomechanics/Rehabilitation.

The LVG Team continues to grow, progress, and have fun with a cohesive and collaborative approach to how we maintain our practice, our business and ourselves as professionals. In a difficult but rewarding profession, our management and staff maintain a nurturing and supportive environment that respects individual needs and encourages communication and awareness of the challenges we all face.

LVG’s diagnostic/monitoring equipment includes full Idexx suite (both clinics), EPOC blood gas machine, digital radiology, ultrasonography, endoscopy, oscillometric and Doppler BP equipment, multiparameter ECGs, oxygen cage and quality microscopes. We also utilize remote pathology services through Imagyst. Our clean, modern, comfortable, environmentally sound facilities lend themselves to a positive experience for both clients and staff.

No afterhours work is required and a variety of shifts/hours are available as we have business hours that allow us to cater to varying client schedules.  We provide a high level of medicine during our practice hours and collaborate with referral centres to share more complex cases that require options beyond our scope.

The central Gippsland lifestyle includes beaches, mountains, lakes & rural community living. There is a lively sporting and arts scene. Latrobe City offers extensive education, entertainment, health care and employment opportunities.
