COVID-19 Response

Latrobe Veterinary Group has a Covid19 protection policy in place and in doing so we had to make a lot of changes in the way we operate in both clinics.

cat2 1 - COVID-19 Response

✔️ Please do not attend the clinic if you are unwell, awaiting Covid test results, or have tested positive. Please ring us to discuss the situation and work out a better option.

We ask that only one family member enter the clinic with each pet, to reduce Covid exposure risks for everyone.

✔️ On arrival in Traralgon, please check the reception area – if 4 people are already there, please wait until someone leaves before entering the clinic. In Morwell, please check the reception area – if 3 people are there, please wait until someone leaves before entering the clinic.

✔️ We may be asking clients not to enter the consultation rooms, depending on the level of Covid risk. In that situation, the vet or nurse will collect information from you, then ask you to wait in our reception area. The vet will perform a comprehensive consultation on your pet with nurse assistance, then discuss the situation with you.

✔️ After the consultation payment can be made using contactless eftpos machines. We would prefer no cash.

✔️ If you are needing to collect medications or products from the clinic we advise you to follow the same process. Payments can be made over the phone at time of organizing for a much smoother process.

✔️ Where suitable we can organize over the phone consultations and video zoom consultations – please phone the clinics if you would like to access this service.

✔️ We have been experiencing high demand for our services throughout the Covid crisis. To meet this demand, we need to prioritize urgent and emergency cases. This may sometimes cause slight delays in attending to our regular consultations and we thankyou for your patience.
**Emergencies will be attended to immediately.

We thank you for your co-operation in this ongoing response to the Covid threat.

We hope to continue to be here to care for your pets throughout this difficult period. The safety of our staff is paramount to achieving this.
