Kirsty
became a part of our team in October 2000, after many years as Shelter Manager at the RSPCA
Sale branch. Kirsty has completed her Certificate III in Veterinary Nursing and is currently
working towards Certificate IV. She has a strong interest in Intensive Care Nursing and Pathology.
Kirsty is a wonderful mentor for less experienced staff, and intrinsic to the smooth running

Sally Thomson Veterinary
Nurse
Sally has been our longest standing nurse, having been with the clinic for over 10 years.
Although Sally's experience and skills at the clinic are far above any course requirements, she
has completed the formal qualification of Certificate III in Veterinary Nursing.
Sally's main interests are surgical and exotic species nursing - she's the girl if you want a ferret
or goanna held! Sally works part time at the clinic, so she has plenty of time to spend with her husband
John and her boys Jack and Billy, not to mention Puddin, the skateboarding bulldog. |

Desley Tulloch Veterinary
Nurse
Desley joined the clinic in late 2003, for a change from dental nursing. Her skills in
this area and her sense of humour have brought an extra dimension to our clinic, along with her
strong interest and expertise with horses. She is the main co-ordinator of equine chiropractic
trips, always a challenge. Desley married Tim in February 06, and will be starting maternity
leave at the end of 2006. |

Naomi Elkington Veterinary
Nurse
Naomi joined us in November 2001, with extensive customer service
and RSPCA experience. Naomi's studies for her Certificate II in Veterinary Nursing were interrupted
by pregnancy and the arrival of Jett in October 05, and she is just returning from maternity
leave part time. Naomi has a strong interest in customer service and communications. At home
she also has “Bear” the Rottweiler, to help Jett & Pete keep her busy. |

Sue Symons Veterinary
Nurse
Sue joined us in Jan 05, looking for a change from home duties and
administration of the family business. She is currently studying for her certificate in Veterinary
Nursing at Box Hill TAFE, adjusting very well to the combined challenges of the travel, study,
work and supporting her 3 no-longer children as they make their own transitions to the workforce,
not to mention Monty the horse, and the 3 dogs. She is a much appreciated calm character at work,
and has recently taken over the organisation of horse chiropractic trips. |

Celena Robe-Curry Veterinary
Nurse
Celena arrived in February 05, having tried a few different workplaces, and with a keen
interest in animal training. She has settled into the practice very well and has done very well
in her first year of Veterinary Nursing studies at Box Hill. Celena is extremely competent in
all areas of the clinic, and nothing flusters her. Her spare time is taken up with caring for
the family horses and her crazy dog Mishu. |

Amy Halliday Trainee
Veterinary Nurse
Amy joined the practice as a trainee Veterinary Nurse in early 2007
and is making rapid progress picking up the many skills needed in the complex veterinary work
environment. Coming from a dairy farm, Amy has a down to earth approach and great attitude which
have enabled her to fit into the LVG team rapidly. She is starting to accumulate the normal veterinary
nurse menagerie. |
